Wiki note: Choose a business model that fits your current constraints and access to customers—not the model that looks most passive after it succeeds.
This tool scores seven common solopreneur models from your answers about speed, capital, client contact, recurring revenue, technical ability, audience, and delivery preference.

Calculate your result
Change the example assumptions to match your situation. Use consistent units and the same currency throughout.
Your result will appear here.
Enter your assumptions and select “Calculate result.”
Formula and assumptions
Each answer adds weighted points to compatible models. The ranking is a structured conversation starter, not an objective prediction of success.
Use source data where possible, record the date of your assumptions, and keep all monetary inputs in the selected currency. A precise-looking answer is only as reliable as the inputs behind it.
How to interpret the result
Investigate the top three models rather than treating the first result as a verdict. Validate customer demand, delivery economics, and your ability to reach buyers before making a large investment.
Stress-test the decision
Run a conservative case, an expected case, and an optimistic case. Change one important assumption at a time so you can see what actually drives the answer. Define the action you will take if the conservative case occurs.
Worked example
Someone who needs revenue quickly, has little capital, enjoys client work, and has no audience will usually see consulting or a productized service rank above software, content, or ecommerce.
Replace every example value with evidence from your own accounts, time records, quotes, contracts, or customer data. Save the result alongside those sources so it can be reviewed later.
Limitations
A short questionnaire cannot measure market demand, founder competence, timing, regulation, or execution. Hybrid models can also outperform a single model when each part has a clear role.
Calculator outputs are educational planning estimates. They are not financial, tax, legal, employment, investment, or medical advice and they do not guarantee a business outcome.
