Calculate a fixed project price from delivery time, admin, direct costs, risk contingency, and deposit requirements with this free pricing tool.
By Solopreneurship WikiReviewed September 2026
Wiki note: A fixed project price should fund the full scope, invisible coordination work, direct costs, and the uncertainty you accept.
This calculator converts an hourly floor into a project pricing floor while accounting for revisions, administration, direct costs, and delivery risk. It is most useful after scope and acceptance criteria are clear.

Calculate your result
Change the example assumptions to match your situation. Use consistent units and the same currency throughout.
Calculations run in your browser. Nothing is submitted.
Your result will appear here.
Enter your assumptions and select “Calculate result.”
Use source data where possible, record the date of your assumptions, and keep all monetary inputs in the selected currency. A precise-looking answer is only as reliable as the inputs behind it.
How to interpret the result
Use the result as the lowest economically defensible fixed fee. Price can be higher when the outcome is valuable or the schedule is urgent. If a client needs a lower total, reduce deliverables or risk rather than removing the contingency without changing scope.
Stress-test the decision
Run a conservative case, an expected case, and an optimistic case. Change one important assumption at a time so you can see what actually drives the answer. Define the action you will take if the conservative case occurs.
Worked example
A project needs 40 delivery hours, eight coordination and revision hours, a 100 hourly floor, 600 of direct costs, and a 15% contingency. The tool also calculates the cash deposit required before work begins.
Replace every example value with evidence from your own accounts, time records, quotes, contracts, or customer data. Save the result alongside those sources so it can be reviewed later.
Limitations
The estimate depends on honest hours and a controlled scope. It does not predict scope creep, client delays, strategic value, or taxes. Confirm deliverables, exclusions, revision limits, and payment terms in the proposal.
Calculator outputs are educational planning estimates. They are not financial, tax, legal, employment, investment, or medical advice and they do not guarantee a business outcome.
